  • 1967 Shelby Cobra on display at museum

    When Larry Yeary returned from a tour of duty in Korea in 1967, he purchased a rare Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT 500. Today, the car appears just as it did 45 years ago. Yeary passed away on April 2 and his family has out on display the Lime Gold fastback with a green tint at the Kokomo Automotive Museum.

    Hiring at Kokomo’s largest employers appears to be creating other jobs in the area, according to an economic development leader. An estimated 458 Howard County residents found work in April, according to a monthly report the Indiana Department of Workforce Development released Friday.
